Waterville - A group of young girls were learning about physics in Waterville today.
It's part of the Adventure Girls program, put on by Hardy Girls, Healthy Women.

It's all about learning about non-traditional female careers.

Today, a group of 9 to 12 year olds met a physicist and professor at Colby College.
She walked them through some physics experiments.

"They get to do hands on activities so they get to experience it alongside the women themselves."
"We now know that there's so many options. You can do anything that you want to do and everything's open. It's not just for boys anymore."

The Adventure Girls programs coordinator says the program is becoming more and more popular.
She says there has been a waiting list for all of the adventures this season.
