Waterville - On June 14th, Waterville activist Jackie Dupont will win the Maine Youth Action Network (MYAN) Impact Award for her work empowering girls at Hardy Girls Healthy Women.  The Impact Awards recognize youth and adults making an impact within their communities and creating positive change.

Jackie Dupont has run programs at Hardy Girls Healthy Women since 2005.  In that time, she has impacted the lives of more than 2,000 girls in 2nd-12th grade.  During her five years with Hardy Girls Healthy Women, Jackie has grown local programming, tripling the number of direct-service participants each year.  Jackie continues to work directly with girls ranging from 2nd graders to undergraduate students developing, evaluating, and overseeing all of the direct service programming.

“There’s no question in my mind that Maine’s cadre of future leaders, policymakers, educators, and activists are better off thanks to the countless hours Jackie has spent with girls in our programs - inspiring, supporting, trusting, and advocating for them.  We couldn’t be more proud of all that she’s accomplished,” says Hardy Girls’ executive director Megan Williams.

Jackie Dupont, LMSW is a graduate of Colby College and holds a B.A. in Human Development.  She recently earned her Masters degree from the University of Maine in Social Work and is a licensed social worker.
