Mary Madden, Ph.D., is an associate research professor at the University of Maine in the College of Education and Human Development where she evaluates programs and conducts research on issues related to the health and well-being of adolescents and education issues. She directed a national study on hazing in college and universities in the U.S and co-directs the National Collaborative for Hazing Research and Prevention. Mary is a co-creator of Adversaries to Allies: A Curriculum for Change, helped to develop HGHW's Hardiness Training, and is involved in bringing Adventure Girls to the greater Bangor area. Mary has 3 grown children, one grandchild and looks forward to the birth of a new grandchild in the spring.
